Growing up in the South has influenced Southern Charm Candle Co. so much that most candles have a specific story Tom references when telling us about a new scent. But besides the fun scents and memories behind each candle, at the heart of Southern Charm Candle Co. is family and Tom and Erica Cullipher, the owners of SCCCo. believe in giving back to others.
Recently, the Culliphers had two opportunities to give back. We'd like to tell you about two organizations in the Charleston area we're supporting this fall.
- Holy Cross Co:Mission Weekend
About Holy Cross Co:Mission Weekend
The Church of the Holy Cross has campuses on Sullivans's Island and Daniels Island. On October 1st and 2nd, it is their Co:Mission Weekend where they seek to raise awareness and support of missions that will impact not only their community, but the world at large.
In the 2022-2023 span, Holy Cross provided financial support to missionaries in Pakistan to purchase land for a new school and in Tanzania to help rebuild a collapsed church for a congregation in Nyamahuna. Holy Cross also completed fix-it home renovations in Mount Pleasant, SC and served their neighbors at Seven Farms Apartments.

Dorchester Senior Center
On Friday, September 1st, Tom and Erica were able to provide a hands-on presentation to the seniors at the Dorchester Senior Center.
Dorchester Seniors' mission is is to provide opportunities to all senior citizens of Dorchester County to enhance their educational, mental, social, spiritual and physical wellbeing. They have multiple programs that support this mission including: Arts and Crafts classes, Cards, Games, and Fun, Fitness and Wellness classes, and even a 50+ Fit class that features Zumba, yoga, belly dancing, Tai Chi and line dancing. They have locations in Summerville, SC and St. George, SC.
