Southern Sips & Scents: Pecan Praline Edition

Southern Sips & Scents: Pecan Praline Edition

Thanksgiving is just around the corner (can you believe it's NEXT WEEK 😳) and that means it's time to gather with family and friends! If you're hosting or need something to bring to spice things up, here are 5 recipes inspired by Pecan Pralines (or pie) to bring to the party. There is something for everyone from the kids to the adults. From bourbon to coffee to milkshakes, these are varied yet tasty and sure to be a hit at every Friendsgiving, Thanksgiving, or gathering in between ☺️

Our Pecan Praline candle was inspired by the confectionary shops in the historic Charleston City Market and continues to be a best-seller all year round. Pecan Praline captures the essence of Southern charm and comfort and conjures up images of homemade treats cooling on the kitchen counter ready to be shared and enjoyed 'round the table.

To complement that charm, we've gathered FIVE drinks from the internet you can pair alongside your Pecan Praline candle AND Thanksgiving spread:

1. Pecan Praline Latte - Click HERE for the recipe

Create a decadent copycat latte with ingredients from your kitchen for all the coffee lovers and parents who need a little extra caffeine on a day with missed naps and lots of carbs 😉

2. Bourbon Pecan Pie Cocktail - Click HERE for the recipe

This is a sweeter than usual cocktail but could also be shaken over ice to make it a martini. It combines Maker's Mark Bourbon, Evangeline Pecan Praline liquor, and 1/2 ounce of vodka of your choice.

3. Pecan Pie Milkshake - Click HERE for the recipe

This one's for the young and the young at heart - who doesn't love a good milkshake? It combines butter pecan ice cream + 2 pieces of already made pecan pie and milk. You could also add bourbon for the adults! Serve up with a drizzle of caramel, pecans, and whipped cream.

4. Hazelnut Coffee (with a splash of cream)

Here's a freebie for you as it doesn't take much prep! Grab your favorite brand's Hazelnut coffee flavor and serve with a hazelnut creamer or plain old splash of heavy whipping cream. Have a variety of sweeteners to please everyone!

5. Pecan Pie Old Fashioned  - Click HERE for the recipe

Vintage Kitty says "this twist on the old fashioned cocktail is the perfect signature drink for the holiday season!" It takes brown sugar, pecan bitters, bourbon, and pecan liqueur to make something special!

If you try these out, make sure you tag us! We'd love to see what creations you concoct this holiday season. Not in the mood to experiment? Grab a Pecan Praline candle then and call it a day 😉
